6. Set the Grid Voltage% appropriate for the matrix and
mass:
7. Save the instrument settings (.BIC) file.
8. Determine the laser threshold for the sample and adjust
the laser setting until you obtain the resolution needed for
your application.
Laser position and laser intensity are the primary
factors affecting the quality of spectra. However, you
may slightly improve the quality of data by fine-tuning:
• Grid Voltage% within the ranges listed above
• Guide Wire Voltage% within the ranges listed
below
